Advice for the Bride-to-be

Photobucket

Just a few little tips before the big day ...

· Make your guest list first-it will help decide what style & size wedding to have
· Stay in budget but don’t compromise on the important stuff
· DIY projects - good to make your wedding personal but don’t overdo it
· Delegate. Delegate. Delegate –
stuffing envelopes, wrapping gifts for the wedding party, folding programs, tying ribbon (trust me no one will notice if they are all not perfect)
· Make an emergency kit : bobby pins, needle and thread, lipstick on hand, safety pins, scotch tape, etc
· Spend some quality time with your fiancé before the wedding day
· No errands/planning on the wedding day
· Get some sun
· Get pampered
· Sleep
· Eat
· Stay Hydrated
· Wear comfy shoes
· Print a schedule for the day so everyone will know where they need to be & when
· Always have a smile on your face. Candid photos look much better when you do!
· Thank your parents
· Have the maid of honor say a prayer before the ceremony
· Kiss your Dad
· BREATHE - take in every minute
· It’s ok to cry – it is an emotional day
· Have some quick alone time for the new Mr. and Mrs. after the ceremony
· Pay your vendors before the wedding day – don’t want to worry about finances at that point
· Ask someone to take your gifts and cards to your home or somewhere safe after the wedding
· Practice bustling your dress at least once before the wedding day
· Be sure people have directions to the reception
· Make sure the bridal party knows to wait outside if they are being announced into the reception
· Don’t cut the cake too early – then people might think the party is ending
· Have a toast
· Dance
· Don’t worry about what anyone else thinks – it is YOUR DAY

Our best piece of advice:
Choose your Photographer wisely – look at their work, style, and testimonials. You might spend up to 20% of your budget on a photographer but the results will let you enjoy 100% of the day for the rest of your life.
