Oaks/Burleson Engagement

Here are some images from Bailey Oaks and Aaron Burleson's Engagement session. I met this couple at The Oaks Castle in Johnson City this weekend and what a beautiful location it turned out to be?! Bailey and Aaron discovered it while exploring the castle as a potential wedding venue. I look very forward to shooting their wedding in 2010! To view their slide show click the image or link below.

Chloe Rogers--Newborn Session

The Rogers family just adopted the sweetest little baby girl named Chloe and asked me to come photograph her in her new home. It was such a pleasure meeting this family and I can't wait to capture little miss Chloe as she grows throughout the year. To view her slide show please click the image or link below. I have also included a few of my favorites to view individually. Enjoy!

UT PHOTOGRAPHY CLASS

I'm taking a second photography class at UT this year for some extra practice. Just thought I would share a little something from my class last week. We got to work with some studio lights and back drops. Not usually my style but it was a great experience. Here are some model portrait shots that I got.

Proposal & Engagement Sessions

Do you or someone you know have a proposal plan in the works? Well, this post is for you! Overbay Photography is now offering Proposal & Engagement Sessions. Basically how this works is you will first, contact me (Kristen Overbay- kristen@overbayphotography.net) and we will discuss your plans for when/how you will pop the question. My assistant and I will arrive at the location ahead of time and scope out the best place to hide or if you are a detailed-oriented guy and already have this planned to a 'T' we will just show up and shoot as you wish. After she says “yes!” we will give you some time alone and then we will begin taking some creative engagement shots of you and your new fiance!

Here is a proposal story that I photographed secretly at the Biltmore Estates in Asheville, NC. Charlotte is a personal friend of mine and I was thrilled when Kevin asked me to capture this once in a lifetime moment for them. Her favorite flowers are sunflowers so you will see this common theme throughout the photographs. Watch their slide show here and be sure to contact me if you are interested in preserving your proposal forever.

I also have to throw this out there.
These images are from when my husband, Jesse, proposed to me at Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center in New York City. I am so glad that I have these photos to show my kids one day!

WE'VE MOVED ANNOUNCEMENT

I promised I would be posting Sara and Adam's "We've Moved" Announcement. Without further ado...here it is! I had so much photographing these two and helping them with this announcement. Such a great idea! Sara's Realtor loved it as well and has plans to use some of the photos in her advertisements to be mailed out in the Knoxville/Bearden area. I can't wait to see them!

NEW! Shower Invitation

I just finished designing a shower invitation for a good friend of mine. Ashley is getting married in May and sadly, I will not be able to photograph her wedding due to scheduling conflicts. However, she has asked me to design her wedding invitations! I am loving her wedding colors and just thought I would share these shower invitations I have already had so much fun creating. Stay tuned for the invitations for Ashley's big day!
