Overbay Photography's 100TH SESSION!

Today, Stephanie and I conducted a very special session in celebration of Lylah Louise Comb's 1 year old birthday and OVERBAY PHOTOGRAPHY'S 100th SESSION! Not only has little Lylah reached a milestone but we have as well. Lylah was our first newborn and slice of life client. We have thoroughly enjoyed photographing her throughout the first year of her life and the Combs family has played a huge role in the success of our business. We are so excited about how far we have come and are thrilled to be celebrating our 100th session with this special client. Thank you to all of the rest of our wonderful clients who have helped us build to 100! Looking forward to hundreds more to come...

Expecting Emma--Katie and Will Easler

Katie and Will Easler are very good friends of ours and we are so glad that we had the opportunity to fit in an expecting session for them this weekend. The Easlers are expecting baby girl Emma in November. They currently live in Texas but came home to Tennessee for a baby shower for their first child! She will be spoiled to pieces!! Overbay Photography Sessions in 2010

As you can see, we have been catching up on posting a BUNCH of wonderful photo sessions lately. I want to thank Stephanie for all of the hard work and support over this past month. She has been taking on new sessions of her own in the Tri-Cities and has been assisting me with my post-session editing and slide shows. Thank you SO MUCH Steph!

Even though we still have 4 weddings left this year and lots of holiday portraits scheduled, we are starting to look forward to 2010! We are eager and excited to see what this upcoming year will have to offer us and our clients! We are so happy that our portfolio has grown to include: weddings, engagements, bridals, families, babies, children, seniors, and now even expecting sessions! We LOVE what we do and what we have to offer to our clients.

Because we offer so many different sessions our calendar is pretty full year round. There is no such thing as "busy season" anymore. Weddings go year round and lifestyle sessions especially do as well. Thankfully, we still feel that our turn-around time is well within reason for quality photographs and designs. We would like to continue to have this high of a standard in timeliness and quality. We get excited after a wedding or session and want to see the completed product just as much as our clients do! However, there are only 24 hours in a day. While both of us still hold other full time jobs, we also want to be sure to make enough time for our personal lives and families. A few things to keep in mind for 2010...

1. You can access my calendar at http://www.overbayphotography.net/ under the 'calendar' tab. To view my availability start by hovering over that particular date. If that date is clear and you wish to book something then you will need to contact me directly by clicking on the 'contact' tab and I can add you to my calendar. EMAIL is the BEST form of contact for me (vs. phone calls). This way I have record of our discussion on dates, ideas, etc. and we do not end up playing phone tag.

2. We will be taking the entire month of January off in order to re-group, get re-inspired, and do a little catch up work after the holiday rush orders. So if you are looking to book a session in 2010, please look past the month of January.

3. Weddings are a priority and can be booked in any city or destination on almost any weekend of the year that is not blocked off on my calendar thus far. The popular wedding weekends will fill up quickly so contact us as soon as possible if you are interested in booking with us.

4. For 2010, I will only be holding Lifestyle photo sessions (babies, seniors, families, etc) that require travel outside of the Knoxville area on specific weekends each month. I will be posting these tentative dates as announcements on my blog and calendar sometime in November, so stay tuned. This will free up my other weekends for Knoxville sessions, personal time in Knoxville, or travel to Kingsport with the sole purpose of visiting my family and not holding photo sessions. :)

5. If you live in the Tri-Cities and would like a photo session on a weekend that I am not available - as most of you know my assistant, Stephanie, is an amazing photographer and she would love take on some more sessions in 2010! You can contact her directly at stephcox@overbayphotography.net

6. Knoxville Lifestyle sessions have a little more flexibility, in that I can photograph during the week after my day job if there is still good light outside during that month or if we are shooting indoors in a nursery, etc.

Addison Light

Wow! Little miss Addison, you dear, may just be a new favorite of mine. I had so much fun editing these photos. Full of color and adorable facial expressions. For this session, we had a blast running around a new location in Bristol, TN. If you ever get a chance to visit Steel Creek Park, I would highly recommend it. Very kid friendly. They not only have the typical play ground, ducks to feed, or creek to wade in but they also have a little kiddie TRAIN that Addison fell in love with! She even put on a little show on her very own stage. Take a look at her slide show to see for yourself.

Maggie Anne--3 months

We recently took Maggie Anne's 3 month old photos. She has grown so much in such little time. Even her red hair is starting to show through. She is a bundle of joy and we love it when we can get her giggling. She is such a happy baby. Sometimes I think it would be fun to be watching a session from the baby's point of view. We make some pretty crazy faces to get them to laugh :) My assistant even throws in a few sound effects--hilarious! Anyways...Enjoy Maggie's slide show!

Isla Lewis--Newborn Session

Meet Baby Isla!! Such a unique name—I love it. Little Miss Isla is the newest addition to the Lewis Family. You may remember her parents, Angelia and Keith. Angie was the very first “official” bride I photographed while shadowing Cable Photography at her wedding. She’s the one in the infamous chicken photo you may have seen on my website. It is the only photo I have made into a gallery wrap thus far and mounted above my desk in my office. That photo has remained one of my favorites to this day and just reminds me of where I got my start.
I was thrilled when Angie contacted me about taking photos of her new baby girl. It’s so special to have photographed her and Keith’s wedding day and now to continue on to the next step in their journey together and photographing their first child.
