The Gibson Boys: Carter and Fletcher

Dawn Gibson, a good friend of mine, asked me to take photos of her two boys a few weeks ago. Carter and Fletcher were perfect little gentlemen. They had the best manners and I just loved it when they called me "Mrs. Kristen." Don't get me wrong these boys know how to have fun! We even got some shots of them showing off their skills in their karate uniforms. All and all this was a great shoot! Check out their slide show below...

Overbay Photography Home Office

Introducing my very own Overbay Photography In-Home Office! I am very excited about this new space in our home. I have already had the pleasure of meeting with a new bride here and I am thrilled to call it my own. Thank you to all of my family that came to help put all of this together. Also, thanks to my new favorite store, IKEA, I was able to find the perfect pieces for my office including lighting, storage, desk, and seating. Looking forward to the creativity that will stem from this very room for many years to come.

Mt. Le Conte--A Glorious Sun Set

So I haven't shared many personal photos recently. Here is a shot that I just had to share. This photo was taken by my husband on top of Mt. Le Conte this past weekend after his long hike up. As you can see, the sunset was to die for! I thought he deserved a post all his own and credit for his great photog. skills. We will probably be blowing this up for our bonus room (aka his media room/"man cave") soon. Enjoy!

Foster/Hill Wedding

Lindy Foster and Davy Hill were married at Alcoa First United Methodist Church on May 16, 2009. The reception was held at the unique art deco Capital Theatre in Maryville. Lindy is very special to me because she was in a Campus Crusade Bible Study that I led at UT. You might remember their engagement session back in January last year. I am so glad that she is now married to such an amazing Godly man. Lindy and Davy were surrounded by many special friends and family on their wedding day and I am sure they felt truly blessed. Lindy did a lot of DIY projects for her wedding and everything seemed to turn out just the way they had imagined it would be. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Hill! Meet Jessica and Steven! These two were so much fun to photograph. Jessica was recently the "MOH" (maid of honor) at the Lovelace/Harris wedding I photographed a couple weekends ago. OUR NEW HOUSE!

I have some exciting news. My husband and I just bought a house!! We closed on Friday, May 29th, and we've already started making it our own. Here is a picture of the outside but I cannot wait to share with you an exciting project taking place on the inside. I am going to have my VERY OWN office for Overbay Photography!! I no longer have to share a space with our guest room. Exciting times!! Thank you for your patience to all of you waiting on photos, albums, etc. This has been/will be a huge transition in our lives, most definitely for the better. We are thrilled!
