Overbay Photography--2009 A Year In Review

Goodbye 2009...Hello 2010! What a great year it has been!?! Each year brings new and exciting things to our business, but 2009 brought more than we could have dreamed of. We have photographed so many wonderful people! Newborns, newlyweds, those expecting, loving families, engaged couples, children, and seniors. Thank you to our amazing clients who have allowed us to be a part of their lives.
Words alone cannot express the gratitude we have towards our family,friends and clients for making this year so unforgettable.

So...we put together a little slide show displaying all of our work from 2009. Watching this is a brief reminder of how truly blessed we have been. We LOVE what we do and we hope our clients have enjoyed the results. This is just a collection of favorite images from each session in 2009. We are excited to see what this new year will bring! Merry Christmas--Out of the Office

Merry Christmas from the Overbay Photography Team!!! We will be out of the office from today, December 19th through December 31st. If you are waiting on an album design - please be patient - we hope to enjoy this time off with our families over the holidays. We will be back in the office in January but we will not be booking sessions for the month. We will be doing some much needed catch up after the holiday rush and are looking forward to gathering some new inspiration for the new year! There will be an announcement on January 1 regarding our availability for lifestyle sessions for the months of February and March. We look forward to seeing everyone in 2010!

HELP-PORTRAIT

You might remember a blog post back in September announcing that we would be involved in this year's HELP-PORTRAIT.

This movement was planned for individual photographers and teams just like ours to give back to our community and those in need this holiday season! We are so glad that the Overbay Photography team was able to participate on Dec 12th. We wanted to take photos of a group who might not otherwise be able to hire someone for their very own custom photography during a special time in their life.

We decided to work with the HOPE House in Kingsport, TN and we held mini-sessions with 5 single mothers and their little ones. They were all a blast to work with and we can't wait to deliver their beautiful prints.

Stacy Family -- Christmas 2009

The Stacy's live in Abingdon, VA. I was excited when they asked me to come to their home for some Christmas photos. Little did I know that the weather would be snowy that day. The roads were fine so we still went on with the session. Kristen joined me for this one and we enjoyed the scenery driving out to Abingdon in the snow. It was breathtaking out in all the fields, covered old barns, and trees. Then we had fun playing with little Miss Isabella and her 1st Christmas outfit and tutu :)

Outlaw Family -- Christmas 2009

The Outlaw family - Charlie, Dana, and Amanda were so much fun to photograph. They had everything planned out...outfits, props, and locations for shots around their beautiful home! This was the day that it snowed too! So of course we got some great images of them in the backyard with the snow covered trees. Snow makes everything looks so peaceful. I just love it. Emma Newland--Christmas 2009

Such a SWEET session--literally! We had Emma Newland's Christmas session at the Lollipop Shop in downtown Jonesborough. You would have thought we would have planned her outfit to match. :) We bundled up for a few shots outside and the visit would not have been complete without yet another stop at the "The Christmas Shop on Main." Even though we called ahead of time for permission to shoot there our original plan fell through. "The Christmas Shop On Main" made for a TERRIFIC Plan B and quickly became one of my favorite Christmas locations of all time!! I realize, with it being a retail store, this may not have been an ideal choice but Suzan welcomed us to her shop with open arms. Lylah Combs--Christmas 2009

I had a wonderful time photographing miss Lylah's Christmas session in downtown Jonesborough. We got some great shots of her bundled up in the cold, exploring the cutest little Christmas shop EVER, and even waving to Santa in a little parade down Main. The Quillen family welcomed me to their home this Christmas season! Little Ethan was a joy to photograph and we were so lucky to have snow!!
