Overbay Photography Update...Looking Ahead

Well January has come and gone. I can't believe it is already February!

As most of you know, I took the month of January off from taking on any new sessions. I have gotten a lot accomplished this past month with my photography business and my personal life. The never ending to do lists have gotten smaller but will probably never completely go away. It's been fun and refreshing to mark things off that I have been wanting to do for a while but just hadn't found the time. Along the lines of photography...I have completed two weddings from the end of 2009, designed several wedding albums (hope to post several for you to see soon), re-designed my work flow for 2010, taken care of lots of year end admin work, scheduled lots of weddings and lifestyle sessions for 2010 and even for 2011 (can you believe it?!). That's not all! I have also been working on my new Pro Photo BLOG for 2010--COMING SOON! I have my friend, Leslie Walker of Leslie Walker Photography, to thank for turning me onto this new way of blogging. Can't wait to show you the results!

I am excited to get back into gear taking on new sessions this year. I have marked my calendar on my website for openings in February and March so far. They are filling up fast so if you are interested in a particular date, please contact me at kristen@overbayphotography.net.

I will be posting lifestyle session openings for April and May in the coming weeks so keep following our blog!

Siminerio/Teeters Wedding

Ashley Siminerio and David Teeters were married on November 28th, 2009 at All Saints Catholic Church in Knoxville, Tennessee. We started early in the morning with photos of the wedding party getting ready for the big day. The ceremony began at 2pm and it was exciting to see David's face when he first saw his bride walk down the aisle. Ashley looked breathtaking in her Maggie Sottero Couture gown. Both David and Ashley were surrounded by friends and family who were thrilled for the happy couple to finally tie the knot! The reception was held at Jubilee Banquet Hall in Knoxville. This couple LOVES music. They are huge Frank Sinatra fans! David's groom cake was even made into a juke box surrounded by old records. The wedding day was captured through video by Midnight Magic Studios. We have had the pleasure of working with Don Samples and his team on 3 fabulous weddings this year! David and Ashley gave out little wine bottles with their own custom labels as favors and ended the night with a bubbles send-off. The newly-weds honeymooned in Cancun and soon after they enjoyed their first Christmas together at home.

Monday/Brichetto Wedding

Sarah Monday and Matthew Brichetto tied the knot on November 21, 2009 in Knoxville, Tennessee. They said their vows at a ceremony held at Asbury United Methodist Church. This quaint little church had so much charm! It was an honor to play a role in such a special occassion as this, where 2 fellow believers came together as one through a marriage truly blessed by God. Sarah and Matt chose to wash each others feet during their ceremony and it proved to be a great example of Christ's love and selfless service. The Monday and Brichetto families celebrated with more family and friends at a reception immediately following the ceremony at The Holston Hills Country Club. We had a blast! Sarah and Matt--thanks again for asking us to photograph your special day. We hope you enjoy your slide show!!

Out of Office - CHATTANOOGA!

I will be out of the office this weekend in order to travel to Chattanooga to celebrate the marriage of some of my very good friends Katie Watson & Taylor Tipton. I will respond to any emails when I return. Have a great (possibly snowy) weekend everyone!
